Need information another way?

Email admin@preluma.health and tell us what format or communication support would work for you. We will consult with you and respond as promptly as reasonably possible.

01

Our accessibility commitment

Preluma Health Inc. (“Preluma,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity for people with disabilities. We aim to identify, prevent, and remove barriers in our digital information, communication, and delivery of in-home services.

We welcome patients, family members, caregivers, and substitute decision-makers who may use assistive technology, require communication support, or need another reasonable accommodation.

02

Digital accessibility standard

We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”) 2.1 Level AA and to meet the applicable requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (“AODA”) and Ontario Regulation 191/11.

WCAG provides internationally recognized guidance for making digital content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and a statement of intent is not a guarantee that every page or third-party service will always be free of barriers.

03

Accessibility features on this website

01

Keyboard access

Navigation, buttons, links, dialogs, and forms are designed to be usable without a mouse, with visible keyboard focus indicators.

02

Clear structure

Pages use descriptive titles, headings, landmarks, labels, and a skip-to-content link to support navigation with assistive technology.

03

Readable presentation

Responsive layouts, large controls, strong contrast, plain language, and scalable text support readers across desktop and mobile devices.

04

Reduced motion

The website respects reduced-motion preferences and avoids relying on animation as the only way to communicate meaning.

04

Accessible communication and in-home service

Where reasonably possible, we will communicate in a way that takes a person’s disability into account and work with the individual to identify an effective accommodation. Examples may include:

  • Including an authorized support person or caregiver in communication.
  • Providing extra time, a quieter interaction, or clear step-by-step explanations.
  • Using telephone or non-digital communication when technology is a barrier.
  • Respecting the use of assistive devices, mobility aids, and service animals, subject to health and safety requirements.
  • Adapting the way information is reviewed during an in-home visit.

Clinical recommendations and accommodations must remain consistent with patient safety, professional standards, and the scope of the responsible practitioner.

05

Accessible formats and communication supports

On request, we will consult with the person to provide or arrange an accessible format or communication support for publicly available information, where required and reasonably possible. This may include electronic text, large print, a plain-language explanation, or another mutually agreed format.

We will advise the requester if particular information cannot be converted and will work to provide an accessible summary or suitable alternative when possible. Any cost will not exceed the regular cost charged to others for the same information.

06

Request support or report a barrier

If you have difficulty using this website, accessing information, or arranging a Preluma service, email admin@preluma.health.

Please tell us:

  • The page, document, or service where you experienced a barrier.
  • What happened and, if relevant, the browser or assistive technology used.
  • The accessible format, communication support, or accommodation you prefer.
  • How you would like us to contact you.

Accessibility feedback may be provided on behalf of another person with their permission. We will acknowledge feedback and explain the steps we can reasonably take.

07

Third-party content and ongoing improvement

Some external research, scheduling, payment, map, or other third-party services may not be fully controlled by Preluma. If an external service creates a barrier, contact us and we will try to provide the information or service another way.

We review this statement and the website as content, technology, standards, and services change. Known barriers are prioritized according to their effect on access, available solutions, and health and safety considerations.

Review notice

This statement is intended for review before publication. Preluma should confirm the contact process, applicable AODA organizational requirements, accessible-format workflow, staff training, feedback response process, and results of a formal accessibility audit.
